Choose a representative task
A feature list does not explain how the customer benefits. Pick an important task, describe its problem and show the outcome the product supports. Introduce supporting functions within that journey.
Keep demonstrations honest
Record real steps in a working version with demo data. Show the starting point, action and result, including additional setup where necessary. Do not present a planned interface as an available feature.
Example: request management
Show a new request, assignment to an owner and status tracking. Three connected views can explain more than a crowded tour. Include written steps so the meaning survives without video or sound.
Match the next step to readiness
A configured product may need a demo request; a self-service product may offer a trial. Explain requirements and limits. Review where visitors stop after the invitation before rewriting the entire page.
